Through targeted education, advocacy and outreach, we engage Unitarian Universalists in support of international cooperation and the work of the United Nations.

Dear Friends,

Howdy!

Time to get ready.....the next envoy training call will be TUESDAY, MARCH 19th, 2013.  Please see more information below in section titled: March Envoy Training.

Hope all is well with you! Climate change has assisted in making today a lovely warm day in NYC, I started day dreaming about the summer.  Do you have any exciting summer plans? Mine include reminding you all to invite your congregation to give the UN Me RE Curriculum a try.  You should also get a few good-weather FUNdraisers on the calendar!

Kamila Jacob
Envoy Outreach Coordinator

Blue Ribbon Congregation Award

Calculating which congregations will win the 2012-2013 Blue Ribbon is in full swing! Thank you for all those who snail mailed or emailed information about your UN Sunday events and services.  If you have yet to send information about your UN Sunday - please pause reading this section, shoot me an email and come right back to this email for more information!

UPDATE: We are going through a change here with our database.  We are implementing a new system requiring the staff to go through and change all of the records.

What does this all mean? Please be patient while we are "under construction".  I will work as quickly as I can to get the records of your donors, but I may need more time so please be sure to ask for records a week before your deadline.  We at the UUA are working on a short timeline to update the records to make sure you have the records you need for your fantastic work.  Thank you for your patience and flexibility.

March Envoy Training

Tuesday, March 19th we will be having an Envoy Training Call.  The January training call gave us a plethora of ideas for possible fundraisers and events, but we didn't focus as much on sustaining strengths or overcoming specific barriers.  Please RSVP and include 1 strength and 1 barrier you are facing at your congregation ideally in regards to implementing multigenerational social justice work.  You may also include successes and issues you are facing as an envoy (a recent fantastic fundraiser, struggling to recruitment new envoys or donors, unsure of envoy status or responsibilities, etc).  This call is for Envoys of all experience levels.  Please email whether or not you will be attending along with your 2 points to kjacob@uua.org.
Conference call number: 641.715.3200
Access Code: 875935#
You will get a reminder email with the agenda closer to the date.  The minutes from this training call will be included in the March edition of the E-news.  Our next training in a few months will be experience specific (1 year or less, 1-4 years, 5+ years).
